I’m a transmedia storyteller : text, audio, photos ,video, graphic design and web 2.0 platforms are my tools. The success of my career has relied upon my ability to help other people to tell their stories. I add value to the production process with talent, reliability, excitement and an easy going attitude - a range of skills sharpened by 20 years of experience living and working in the Northern Territory across a wide variety of industry sectors.

Senior Interpretation Officer : Defence of Darwin Museum

Research global trends, strategies, technologies and platforms that underpin the digital interpretation, immersive cinema and web 2.0 ecosystems. Co- author the Defence of Darwin Museum visitor experience strategy.

I produced video for display in both the Museum of Central Australia and the Museum and Art Gallery NT as well as a pilot digital story for the Defence of Darwin Museum.

Senior Interpretation Officer : Red Centre Way

I was employed to develop a matrix of stories that complimented the World Heritage values of the West MacDonnell National Park and it’s surrounds, within the context of the Red Centre Way interpretation strategy, and to assist the project through the tender phase.

WelcomeTV focussed its attention on producing documentary content, corporate communications and advertising media for the arts, heritage and tourism sectors, notably, the Parks & Wildlife Services, the Alice Springs Desert Park, Araluen Arts Centre, Arts NT, CATIA (now Tourism CA), Tourism NT, the Alice Springs Town Council, Lhere Artepe, the Central Land Council, Tangentyere Council, the Alice Desert Festival.

I co-ordinated and produced the audio/ visuals for the annual Wearable Arts event from 2005 - 2009.

I instituted and co-managed a free public cinema called StoryWall in partnership with the John Flynn Uniting Church.

I’ve have served as a RedHOT Arts board member, Tourism NT Heritage Advisory panel member and Tourism CA Marketing Committee member. I’m currently active in the Outback Business Networks ‘Creative Industries’ working group.

Audio Video Interactive! (AVI!) Productions 1996-2003

As desktop video editing systems became affordable I purchased a non linear edit suite and established an office with 2 graphic designers and various subcontractors from time to time to produce digital content for TV, video, web, CD ROM and print media.

• 400+ TV commercials - retail, corporate, NGO and Government sectors

• Multilingual &cross media projects for diverse client base in health, education, social justice, governance and land management.

While servicing these clients, I also supported several independent documentary productions as a broadcast editor including:

Producer

My freelance career commenced with servicing remote communities working mostly in the APY region for Nganampa Health, Pitjantjatjara Council, Ngangatjatjarra Aboriginal Corporation and the NT and Commonwealth Governments on health, environment and education projects as a trainer, mentor and video producer.

This period exposed me to the ebb and flow of community life and was a formative experience on which I continue to rely in maintaining respectful relationships and protocols with Indigenous peoples.
